Dogs Welcome

A dog is part of the family - they deserve a holiday too!

We’ve designed our retreats with your four-legged friend in mind.
From our own experience of traveling with dogs, we believe the three most important features of a truly dog-friendly getaway are:

An enclosed garden
A thoughtfully curated dog welcome pack
Scenic walks right from the doorstep

A Space to Roam

Each of our retreats boasts a fully fenced garden, so you can open the door and let your pup explore safely. It’s a truly relaxing experience for both you and your dog.

A Warm Welcome

Upon arrival, your dog will be greeted with their very own welcome pack, including:

  • A jar of tasty treats
  • Food & water bowl
  • Spare lead
  • Biodegradable poo bags
  • Towel for muddy paws
  • Blanket for sofa snuggles
  • Handy wipes or dry shampoo
  • A squeaky toy or ball

Need extra essentials? No problem! On request (at no extra cost), we can provide a crate, a Mud Daddy washer, stair gates, or a holiday tag.

The small fee (£25) for bringing your dog helps cover any additional cleaning and ensures their welcome pack is ready and waiting when you arrive.

A Home Away from Home

"A home is not complete without the pitter-patter of doggy feet."

We understand that snuggling up with your dog in the evening is part of the joy of a holiday, which is why we provide a blanket to keep our sofa pet-friendly. However, we kindly ask that dogs stay out of the bedrooms.

Walks & Adventures

With so many dog friendly adventures to have in Worcestershire you’re spoilt for choice, check out our Dog Friendly page for some of our local recommendations.

Explore the beautiful surroundings with a variety of walks straight from your doorstep. We provide a selection of laminated A5 route guides, ranging from a gentle woodland stroll to a half-day hike in the hills. Feel free to take them with you on your adventure—just return them to the visitor book when you're back.

Your dog-friendly retreat awaits!

Why the name Hop Pickers?

A Glimpse Into Pigeon House Farm's History
Pigeon House Farm was a lively hub for hop picking from the 1930s to the 1960s. Families from the Black Country traveled by train and horse-drawn cart to spend four weeks harvesting hops—a mix of hard work and joyful holiday spirit. Living in whitewashed barns or tin huts, they created lasting memories, shared stories, and embraced the simplicity of rural life.
